ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement secure cloud architectures and solutions.
Implement and manage security controls across all cloud services
Conduct security assessments of cloud architectures and recommend improvements
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
Monitor and respond to security incidents in the cloud environment.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the secure operation of our cloud-based systems.
Analyze security data from various sources, including security tools, system logs, and other sources, to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Participate in the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards
Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Respond to security incidents and provide timely resolution to minimize the impact of threats and breaches
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include:
Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification from Google is required
5+ years of experience in cloud security, proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role.
Experience with XDR and other security-related tools.
Proficient in security technologies of cloud platforms and their security features including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, data loss prevention, and encryption.
Understanding of network protocols, data flows, DNS, and other network concepts. The candidate should also be familiar with secure cloud network design principles.
Ability to script or code can be beneficial for automating security processes. Languages might include Python, Bash, or Java
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Additional Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, ISC2) are a plus.
