We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Commodity Trader (primarily in metals trading and hedging for both ferrous and nonferrous) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commodity trading with complete understanding of financial instruments towards hedging of metals, with a proven ability to manage trading/hedging activities, build client/FI relationships, and generate profitable strategies aligned with risk management policy. Experience in trading metals is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.Key Responsibilities- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze commodity markets, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.- Trading Activities: Execute trades within assigned commodities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.- Portfolio Management: Manage and optimize trading portfolios, ensuring profitability and alignment with market strategies.- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other market participants like Banks/Fis/Commodity exchanges in metal trading and have necessary expertise to ensure hedging limits/documentation.- Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring stable returns through hedging instruments with both domestic and overseas commodity exchanges and banks/FI.- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on market activity, trading performance, and strategic recommendations.- Compliance: Ensure all trading activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.Qualifications and Skills- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.- MBA/PGDM in Finance is a plus.- 3-5 years of experience in commodity trading.- Preferred: Demonstrated experience in metals trading.- Strong understanding of global commodity markets, including market drivers and trading strategies.- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.- Proficiency in trading software and platforms.- Knowledge of risk management principles and tools.What We Offer- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.- Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.- A collaborative and innovative work environment.- Comprehensive benefits package.
