Position Overview The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and documentation of Gas Compressor Control Panels and Condition Monitoring Systems. This role emphasizes compliance with international standards, safety in hazardous environments, and the delivery of solutions tailored to customer specifications in the oil and gas sector.

Technical Analysis & Documentation

Study and interpret customer specifications to develop accurate Technical Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering drawings.

Prepare comprehensive project documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Conduct site studies and prepare project overview reports as needed.

Design & Drafting

Produce precise control system and control panel designs using AutoCAD and E-Plan.

Design flameproof, purge, and local control panels for hazardous area installations.

Project Management

Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through delivery, maintaining schedules and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance

Conduct design reviews and ensure rigorous quality control throughout the engineering process.

Support testing, inspection, and commissioning activities as required.

Experience

~3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical panel design, preferably in industrial or oil and gas sectors.

~ Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.

~ Experience designing local control panels and Condition Monitoring Systems for hazardous environments.

~ Project Management

~ Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

~ Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities in complex engineering scenarios.

Certification or training in hazardous area equipment design.

Experience with international projects or export panel requirements.
