Job Title: Taxation Specialist / Taxation Manager / Tax Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate income tax returns, GST/VAT, TDS, and other applicable taxes. Ensure the company complies with all tax laws and regulations.
• Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop tax strategies to reduce tax liabilities and ensure tax efficiency. Advise management on tax planning opportunities.
• Audit and Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities and external auditors. Manage tax audits and resolve any tax-related disputes.
• Tax Accounting and Reporting: Prepare and review tax provision schedules, deferred tax computations, and ensure accurate reporting in the company’s financial statements.
• Transfer Pricing: Handle transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Support transfer pricing audits and implement strategies to optimize cross-border transactions.
• Legislation Updates: Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations. Ensure that the company's tax processes comply with any new legislative changes.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks, providing advice on minimizing exposure. Support in drafting risk management strategies concerning taxation.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in tax-related processes and systems, including automation or use of software tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure that taxes are accounted for properly. Liaise with external advisors as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional qualifications like CPA, CA, or CMA are preferred.
• Experience:
o 10 + years of experience in tax, ideally within a corporate or consulting environment.
o Expertise in handling both direct (Income Tax, Corporate Tax) and indirect taxes (GST, VAT, etc.).
o Experience in transfer pricing and international taxation is a plus.
