Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Developer to join our Agile Application Development team within the Infrastructure Automation team. This role will involve developing and automating infrastructure services using VMware Cloud Services, Ansible, and other cloud scripting technologies across both Windows and Linux OS platforms.

The candidate will be responsible for assessment, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a broad set of security technologies and processes, such as data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management, systems security, network security within IaaS and PaaS environments. Additionally, this role will support CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within an Agile team to understand, document, and automate infrastructure and security automation requirements.
  • Enhance and maintain existing automation solutions using tools like Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure teams to automate tasks and services as per intake requests.
  • Operate and support automation platforms like Ansible and Aria.
  • Validate requirements, deploy, and troubleshoot deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps or VSTS in both staging and production environments.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of coding with Ansible, Python, or Terraform for automation scripting.
  • Ensure the automation solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives within an Agile team.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Ansible Development : Minimum 2 years of experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
  • Scripting Languages : At least 2 years of experience in PowerShell, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • Ticketing Tools : Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) or any other ticketing tool.
  • Development Experience : Proven experience in coding automation implementations.
  • Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team and stakeholders.


Good to Have Skills:
  • Experience with VMware Automation Platforms such as VRA & VRO.
  • Familiarity with Docker , Kubernetes , or Terraform for cloud automation.
  • Experience with Ansible Tower or any other automation/orchestration platforms.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or any other cloud).
  • Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
