Ensures that all inventory and revenues are maximized to full potential across the Hotel; including but not limited to accommodation rooms, conferencing space, food and beverage outlets, channel management, and loyalty contribution.


The key driver of internal and external revenue generation data analysis. In conjunction with the Portfolio Revenue Manager accurately forecast demand and price accordingly, to maximize hotel revenues, to achieve superior performance in comparison to the competitive set as measured in RGI and as against budget growth targets.


Key Accountabilities


1. Provide data and analysis to the Portfolio Revenue Manager as required to make effective decisions to execute strategies and actions for total revenue management.

2. With the Portfolio Revenue Manager deliver pricing, yield, rest of year forecast sign off and Revenue Generation meetings with hotel stakeholders. Send out meeting agendas, minutes and compile up to date actions plans, follow up on action items pending as required. Attend pipeline meetings to gather data for the forecast.

3. Maintain, update, and share information with the management team of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPAR penetration, RGI actual/forecast/stretch, loyalty program penetration, enterprise contribution and trends in revenues by channel and segment.

4. Review RMS forecast and hurdle points relevant to the SBRP forecast and in partnership with the Portfolio Revenue Manager, revise segment forecasting to ensure that product and inventory yielding, and length of stay is being managed appropriately.

5. Update and review R&B/C&E forecasting and Insights Tools and provide the Portfolio Revenue Manager with insights on performance. Highlight potential opportunities/risks for each of the outlets.

6. Complete regular system audits and recommend updates to the Portfolio Revenue Manager

7. Utilize and update tools such as SBRP, OTA Insights, Revenue Performance Tool, F&B analytics tools, Business mix with data such as current forecast, pricing, yield tactics and budget numbers.

8. Work in consultation with the Reservations Manager ensuring that pricing, conversion, and yield restrictions in RMS are appropriate to forecasted demand and ensure they have their inventory in balance. Ensure forecasting accuracy for all market segments with focus on RevPAR.

9. In Concerto activate campaigns and packages working with Reservations Manager to ensure they update Opera and OTA insights and communicate to the Reservations team accordingly.

10. Assist in loading F&B/C&E and/or rooms forecast on SBRP as required.

11. Work in conjunction with the Portfolio Revenue Manager in setting up Special Events and Restrictions in Concerto and across all channels to ensure maximum yielding over key periods.

12. Record and maintain data insights over hotel’s key performing periods and suggest strategies to the Portfolio Revenue Manager to drive further performance. Keep track on key strategies applied and learnings and results for same events in the future. Share best practices with the IHG Revenue Services community.

13. Based on solid data and analysis recommend to the Portfolio Revenue Manager sales and marketing strategies and actions to take to drive performance.

14. Champion and participate in special projects relating to market research and data analysis as nominated.

15. Assist Portfolio Revenue Manager on End of Month (EOM) processes. Including but not limited to: MMR reports, EOM commentary, setting up tools ready for next month, +12month pricing review.


Required Education, Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge


Education

• University Degree or Hospitality Diploma/Degree is desirable


Experience

• Experience in a Reservations/Yield Management Environment is desirable. Fresh Grads with high analytical skills can be considered


Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Proven knowledge of Revenue Management Software Systems and Property Management Systems (Opera) is a plus

• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong research and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal communication, report writing and presentation skills.

• IHG Systems & Tools knowledge is ideal.
