Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks, a strong mechanical engineering background, and hands-on experience in the development of hydraulic and pneumatic products. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in manufacturing technologies and proficient in finite element analysis (FEA) for product optimization.
This is an on-site position based in Kolkata, West Bengal, and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and R&D, to develop innovative and high-performance products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop next generation hydraulic and pneumatic systems and tools using SolidWorks.
- Perform mechanical analysis, including stress, strain, and fatigue analysis, using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize product performance.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are cost-effective, manufacturable, and compliant with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain technical drawings, 3D models, and BOMs while ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing product designs and develop innovative solutions.
- Conduct prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs to ensure performance and durability.
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles to optimize product design.
- Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies, materials, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic product design and development.
- Expertise in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation.
- Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for product optimization.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, welding, and injection molding.
- Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and industry standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of material selection and surface treatment techniques for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
