We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor for Product Design(Industrial Design)
Job Description:
Teaching:
Course Development: Design and develop undergraduate and graduate courses. This includes creating syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment methods that align with departmental goals.
Instruction: Deliver high-quality, engaging lectures and seminars that stimulate critical thinking and foster a deep understanding of the subject matter.
Assessment and Feedback: Implement fair and rigorous assessment strategies, providing timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
Student Engagement: Facilitate active learning through discussions, group projects, and other innovative teaching methods. Encourage student participation and interaction to enhance the learning experience.
Mentorship: Provide academic and career guidance to students, including supervising undergraduate and graduate research projects and serving on thesis committees..
Service:
Departmental Involvement: Serve on departmental and university committees, contributing to program development, accreditation processes, and strategic planning initiatives.
Community Engagement: Participate in outreach programs that promote the department and university to the local and broader community. This may include organizing events, lectures, and workshops.
Diversity and Inclusion: Actively promote an inclusive environment that respects diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing diversity within the academic community.
Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field through continuous learning, attending workshops, and participating in professional organizations.
Qualification Required-
M.Des.(Product Design/Industrial Design) from an institution of repute.
Experience Required-
For Assistant Professor- Min. 5 years of relevant experience required in Industry and Teaching
For Associate Professor- Min. 10 years of relevant experience required in Industry and teaching.
