For one of our clients, we are seeking an experienced SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Functional Leader who can effectively play the dual role of a functional consultant and project manager. This role requires deep expertise in SAP SD module functionalities and proven experience managing end-to-end SAP implementation or enhancement projects. The ideal candidate will lead project teams, interact with business stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of SAP SD solutions aligned with client business goals.


Full Time, Remote (Bangalore Preferable)


Key Responsibilities:
Functional Leadership:
  • Lead and manage SAP SD functional processes, including order-to-cash (OTC), pricing, billing, and shipping.
  • Gather business requirements, design solutions, and configure SAP SD modules to meet business needs.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP SD with other modules like MM, FICO, and PP.
  • Analyze and resolve functional issues and defects related to SAP SD processes.


Project Management:
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Lead project teams, including functional consultants, technical developers, and testers, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on project status and risks.


Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with business users to identify process improvement opportunities and design solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users and business teams.
  • Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.


Quality Assurance and Support:
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and align with the client’s business objectives.
  • Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations.


Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.


Experience:
  • 8+ years of SAP SD functional experience, with at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementation projects.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in SAP projects.


Skills:
  • Expertise in SAP SD configurations, including pricing, billing, credit management, and shipping.
  • Strong knowledge of integration points between SD and other SAP modules (MM, FICO, PP).
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and interact with stakeholders effectively.


Preferred Skills:
  • SAP Certification in SD module or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience in S/4HANA implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori and modern UI/UX tools.
