We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Laravel Developer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our internal and customer-facing applications. This role requires hands-on coding expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services using Laravel (PHP)
Design and manage SQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
Work with Linux server administration, ensuring high availability and reliability
Build and manage Dockized environments for consistent deployments
Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and business teams to deliver features end-to-end
Skills & Experience
~5+ years of backend development experience with PHP/Laravel
~ Strong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL and MSSQL)
~ Experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu)
~ Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies
~ Experience with Docker containerization
~ Backend Skills (in addition to Laravel/PHP/SQL)
~ REST & Graph APIs – building and consuming APIs

Common Programming Languages
JavaScript/TypeScript – for backend Node.js scripts and integrations
Python – automation & data processing
Shell Scripting (Bash) – Linux automation

Frontend Exposure (Nice to Have)
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript
Vue.js or React – Laravel & Vue preferred

DevOps / Cloud Skills
Containerization – Docker
Cloud Platforms –Azure

Secure coding (OWASP guidelines, XSS/SQL injection prevention)
API authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, Laravel Passport)
Data privacy and compliance (GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles)

Agile/Scrum methodology experience
Experience with working with AI API’s
Experience with the N8N Automation platform
