Partner with Acumen to navigate the complexities of international education and achieve sustainable growth in the global arena.The OpportunityWe are seeking a proactive and results-driven professional to join a leading international university as the Recruitment & Conversion Lead, responsible for driving student recruitment and conversion across India and South Asia. The role focuses on managing the end-to-end admissions process, enhancing student engagement, and building strong relationships with prospective students, education agents, and partner institutions.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in student recruitment, admissions operations, and lead conversion, with experience in international higher education. This position requires effective stakeholder engagement, meticulous follow-ups, and collaboration with the university’s on-campus teams. The role also involves representing the university at fairs, events, and online platforms, requiring flexibility to travel across India. A self-motivated, organized, and persuasive professional, the Recruitment & Conversion Lead will play a key role in growing the university’s student base, enhancing brand visibility, and supporting its regional strategic objectives.Role Summary:Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Engagement & Conversion:Conduct consultations with prospective students to understand their academic backgrounds, interests, and study abroad goals.Provide accurate information on university USPs, courses, scholarships, eligibility criteria, and application processes.Address queries regarding admissions requirements, scholarship opportunities, and university policies.Build rapport with students and implement structured follow-ups to ensure smooth progress through application, offer, and deposit stages.Track and chase document submissions, including transcripts, SOPs, LORs, and other supporting materials.Utilize persuasion and negotiation skills to convert students at different stages of the recruitment funnel.Admissions Operations & Application Screening:Conduct initial eligibility checks on applications to ensure compliance with university and visa requirements.Assist with academic verification and process application outcomes within agreed timelines.Maintain adherence to admissions protocols, SOPs, and compliance regulations.Provide student counselling support and follow-up on matters such as offer acceptance, additional document requirements, and other admission-related queries.Lead Management, CRM & Reporting:Manage student leads efficiently through CRM systems, ensuring all interactions, follow-ups, and conversions are logged accurately.Generate reports and insights on inquiry trends, conversion rates, and campaign performance.Maintain time-sheets, databases, and records of recruitment events, applications, and follow-ups.Moderate Excel proficiency required for data handling, including Pivot Tables, Sorting, Filtering, VLOOKUP, and basic analysis.Marketing, Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement:Participate in outreach events, education fairs, webinars, and virtual sessions to promote universities and increase brand visibility.Support international universities in developing and implementing marketing strategies, social media campaigns, and content for online and offline events.Maintain excellent customer service with applicants, parents, education agents, and internal stakeholders.Build effective relationships with university representatives, admission officers, and internal teams to enhance the student experience.Assist in budgeting, project cost tracking, and event logistics, including travel, venue booking, and coordination with vendors.Compliance & Administration:Maintain accurate records in accordance with relevant policies and requirements.Ensure deliverables are met with a focus on achieving agreed objectives and targets.Support internal teams with administrative coordination and project execution.Qualifications & Education:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Education, Business, International Relations, or a related field.Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in business, marketing, or education is a plus.Familiarity with USA/UK/Australasia/Canada/NZ higher education systems is desirable but not essential.Experience:2-8 years of experience in student recruitment, admissions counselling, or international education marketing.Prior experience with USA/UK/Australasia/Canada/NZ institutions is a plus.Experience in outbound calling, CRM-based lead conversion, and admissions operations.Exposure to developing marketing campaigns and leveraging social media as a communication tool.Skills & Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence.Goal-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.Ability to multi-task and manage high-volume applications in a fast-paced environment.Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and student record systems.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a structured, process-driven environment.Knowledge of international higher education and student recruitment practices.Other Requirements:Willingness to travel up to 25% for recruitment events and university visits.Participate in virtual trainings and professional development activities as required.If you are passionate about leading student recruitment, driving conversions, and enhancing the university’s regional engagement across India, while managing operations and building strong relationships with students, agents, and partner institutions, then this opportunity is for you.Website Address:Social Media:
