Mobile QA Tester

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile QA Specialist to ensure that our mobile applications provide an outstanding user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for mobile technology. In this role, you will work closely with our development team to understand application features, create comprehensive test plans, and meticulously test our applications on both Android and iOS platforms to ensure functionality, performance, and user-interface meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute test cases (automated) and analyze results.
Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Report defects to the development team and track bug resolution on JIRA.
Provide feedback to developers about automated testing strategies, design fixes, and patches.
Ensure quality on multiple device types, screen sizes, and resolutions.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Collaborate with the Product Management team to ensure requirements are understood.
Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly fixed.
Execute load testing on the backend database.
Set up master-slave architecture on azure cloud and perform automated load testing on it.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience with Mobile Platforms: Proven experience testing on iOS and Android platforms, including knowledge of mobile-specific functionalities, behaviors, and user interface guidelines for each platform.
Proficiency in Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with automated mobile testing tools such as Appium, TestComplete, BrowserStack,JMeter, BlazedMeter, or Firebase Test Lab, and experience with simulators and real device testing
Understanding of Mobile App Performance Testing: Ability to assess mobile app performance by testing for responsiveness, load times, resource usage, memory leaks, and battery consumption.
Expertise in Functional and Usability Testing: Skilled in functional testing to ensure all app features work as expected, as well as usability testing to evaluate the app’s user experience across different devices and screen sizes.
Mobile Network Testing: Familiarity with testing app behavior on various network conditions (Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, offline mode) and understanding network latency issues.
Knowledge of Mobile Security Testing: Awareness of mobile security issues, such as data storage security, secure authentication, and encryption standards, to ensure data protection and user privacy.
Strong Mathematical Aptitude: Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis, problem-solving, and data interpretation, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts.
Attention to Numerical Detail: Precision in calculations, attention to numeric details, and the ability to spot anomalies or inconsistencies in data sets.
Provide appropriate outputs from logs and testing results for further analysis.
Exploratory Testing Mindset: Curiosity and critical thinking skills to perform exploratory testing, identifying edge cases and potential user issues that may not be covered by scripted tests.
Attention to Detail and Documentation Skills: Excellent documentation skills for writing clear, comprehensive, and reproducible bug reports, test cases, and test plans.
