Following a new opportunity, we are currently looking for an Automation Engineer with experience in the Pharma sector/consulting firm to support our projects in India .

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of process automation and control systems for manufacturing.
  • Supporting the full lifecycle of automation systems, including design, assessment, commissioning, validation, and implementation.
  • Developing User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, and Design Specifications for new and existing automation systems.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining process automation systems in collaboration with manufacturing and maintenance teams.
  • Preparing project design packages such as feasibility studies, Concept Design (CD), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Design (DD).
  • Managing control systems projects and guiding process automation engineers, maintenance technicians, and manufacturing staff.
  • Assisting in the preparation and execution of FAT, SAT, commissioning, and validation protocols .
  • Ensuring automation systems meet regulatory standards, process safety, and risk assessment requirements.
  • Providing technical assistance to site operating groups through system assessments, investigations, and design support.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams with technical and automation-related expertise.

About You:

  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or consulting ( MUST HAVE ) as Automation Engineer
  • Proven exposure to international projects , especially in Europe and the U.S.
  • Expertise in process automation system design and control.
  • Experience in project design documentation (feasibility studies, CD, FEED, DD).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, process safety, and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project.
  • Solid understanding of quality management systems, such as ISO and ISPE.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Location:

  • 90% Remote, with occasional travel for on-site support (1-2 trips per quarter, 1-3 weeks per trip)
