Senior Lead Engineer – Full Stack (React / Java)We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems using Java, Spring Boot, React, and cloud-native architectures. This role will play a key part in driving the technical direction for our modern eCommerce platform, helping to shape system architecture, streamline distributed workflows, and lead the development of robust, enterprise-grade solutions.You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver highly responsive, secure, and maintainable applications. We’re seeking someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on — someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve hard problems, while also influencing long-term platform decisions.What You’ll Be Doing:- Provide technical leadership and oversee the daily operations of the engineering team.- Drive the development, execution, and alignment of software strategies with business goals.- Inspire innovation by introducing and fostering adoption of new tools, technologies, and approaches.- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, security, and industry best practices.- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance full-stack applications, leveraging Java (Spring Boot) on the backend and React with TypeScript on the frontend.- Define and implement architecture patterns for distributed systems, focusing on scalability, resiliency, and long-term maintainability.- Design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations using messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, or Azure Event Hub.- Partner with Product and UX teams to transform requirements into robust, user-centered technical solutions.- Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, CI/CD practices, automated testing, and performance optimization.- Mentor and guide engineers, cultivating a culture of technical growth, ownership, and continuous improvement.- Actively participate in architecture reviews, system design discussions, and capacity planning to shape the platform’s evolution.What You Bring to the Table:- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React / TypeScript in production systems- Deep understanding of system design principles, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native patterns- Experience integrating with event-driven architectures using Kafka, Solace, or similar- Strong knowledge of API security, identity management, and performance tuning- Exposure to relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (Couchbase, MongoDB, etc.) databases- Comfort working in Agile environments, collaborating across teams, and influencing stakeholders- Ability to balance hands-on development with architectural decision-makingBasic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)- 10+ years of full stack development experience with emphasis on Java, Spring Boot, and React- 6+ years designing distributed, event-driven systems- Hands-on experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)- Proficiency with microservices, REST APIs, message queues, and streaming technologies- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices, and performance optimization.- Experience with database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make strategic architectural decisions balancing business and technical needs.- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience guiding engineering teams and influencing stakeholders
