We are seeking a highly skilled Zscaler Engineer with deep expertise in Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) to provide short-term technical and architectural support for our enterprise security environment. The ideal engineer will combine strategic design capabilities with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills to optimize configurations, improve performance, and enhance user access across a global Zscaler deployment. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the subject matter expert for ZIA configuration, policy restructuring, and performance optimization • Analyze and refine current ZIA policies to enhance both security posture and end-user experience • Troubleshoot complex connectivity, authentication, and policy enforcement issues • Resolve challenges with Zscaler Client Connector deployment, integration, and user onboarding • Provide architectural recommendations and implementation support for Zscaler best practices • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security Operations, and IT Support teams to ensure seamless adoption • Required Skills and Qualifications • 4+ years of hands-on experience administering and architecting Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) environments • Strong background in policy configuration, SSL inspection, user authentication, and traffic routing • Proven experience integrating Zscaler with Azure AD, MFA, Intune, or JAMF for identity and endpoint management • Excellent understanding of network protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, VPN, GRE/IPSec tunnels) • Ability to conduct root-cause analysis, optimize Zscaler performance, and deliver quick remediation • Experience balancing architectural planning with direct hands-on execution • Nice to Have • Exposure to Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) or Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) • Familiarity with proxy migration projects or hybrid network transitions • Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or API-based automation for Zscaler)
