Position Title: Senior Engineer 1, Android We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of our Abercrombie and Hollister Android apps. The developer will help with the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. Acting as senior Android developer on our Abercrombie and Hollister Android apps and SDK Standardize platform to be able to deliver across multiple brands with minimal effort Standardize and enforce coding standards and best practices, including optimizing the apps for performance Collaborate with other development teams (API, iOS, Web) on architectural vision and roadmap B. E/ B. Tech/ Any master's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field ~6-9 years of experience with Java and Android SDK ~ Experience working with Kotlin ~ Worked on at least one publicly available app (please provide link to the app(s) via Google Play) ~ Expertise in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis, and debugging ~ Expertise in architecting/designing/developing highly performant Android applications ~ Experience with web service integration (REST, JSON, XML) ~ Experience of development using web technologies ~ Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP ~ Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g. social media). Experience implementing push notification strategies ~ Experience using version control (e.g. git) ~ Familiarity with Agile development and works well in a large cross-functional team ~ Experience with testing frameworks such as Espresso and Junit (any of these or similar) ~ Experience with Jetpack Compose (preferred) ~ Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs (preferred)
