Role Description
We are looking for a Marketplace Analyst with 3 years of experience in e-commerce and digital marketplace management to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing marketplace performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve sales strategies. You will collaborate with various departments to optimize listings, marketing campaigns, and product strategies on major online platforms like Amazon, e Bay, Walmart, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace Performance Analysis : Monitor and analyze the performance of products across various online marketplaces, using tools like Google Analytics, Seller Central, or third-party marketplace analytics platforms.
Data Insights: Provide regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, pricing trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback. Use data to drive actionable insights for optimization.
Marketplace Optimization : Assist in optimizing product listings (titles, descriptions, keywords, and images) to improve visibility and conversions. Ensure that all listings comply with marketplace guidelines.
Pricing & Inventory Management: Support pricing strategies based on market trends and competitor analysis. Assist in managing stock levels and ensuring product availability across platforms.
Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute campaigns (e.g., promotions, deals, ads) on e-commerce platforms to increase sales and drive customer engagement.
Competitor & Market Research: Conduct ongoing research on competitors' strategies, pricing, and customer feedback to understand market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Reporting and Dashboards : Create and maintain detailed performance reports and dashboards to track key metrics like sales, conversions, cost-per-click (CPC), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with product, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure alignment across departments and drive marketplace growth.
Customer Experience: Analyze customer reviews and feedback to identify areas for improvement in products and services.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in marketplace analysis or e-commerce-related roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Google Analytics), marketplace platforms (Amazon Seller Central, e Bay, Walmart Marketplace, etc.), and marketplace advertising platforms (Amazon Advertising, Google Ads).
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and generate actionable insights.
Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting and optimization efforts.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of E-commerce Trends: In-depth understanding of e-commerce trends, digital marketing strategies, and customer behavior in online marketplaces.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar marketplace research platforms.
Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Google Ads, and other advertising platforms.
Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices for e-commerce.
