Position Title: Data ArchitectExperience: 8+ YearsLocation: Mumbai - OnsiteAbout the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, governed data models and architectures on cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will define canonical entities, conformed dimensions, and fact models to enable robust analytics, while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and data governance best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of end-to-end data architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.Define and implement 3NF canonical models, dimensional/star schema models for analytics.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and build logical & physical data models.Establish and enforce data modelling, metadata management, and governance standards .Guide Data Engineers in developing ingestion pipelines aligned with architecture.Translate legacy BI/ETL logic (Informatica, Cognos, TM1, etc.) into modern data architectures.Ensure data lineage, traceability, and auditability are embedded into all designs.Implement data quality frameworks, validation, and reconciliation processes .Support BI & application developers in consuming curated data models.Conduct performance reviews of data models and optimize for scalability & cost.Maintain detailed architecture and design documentation .Required Skills & Qualifications8+ years in data architecture and data modelling .Proven experience with canonical models (3NF), dimensional modelling, and star schemas .Strong expertise in SQL and relational design.Hands-on with cloud data services (AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, DMS, or Azure/GCP equivalents).Experience translating legacy ETL/BI logic into modern pipelines.Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance frameworks .Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, automated deployments) .Strong cross-functional collaboration and excellent communication skills.Desirable SkillsKnowledge of AI/ML for metadata management, data quality, or model optimization .Experience using AI-assisted coding/modelling tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot).Familiarity with data catalog & lineage tools (Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue Data Catalog).Industry experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or financial reporting .
