Job Title: Test Engineer Experience: 4 – 6 Years Location: (Remote / Onsite – as applicable) Employment Type: Contract (12 Months, Renewable Year-on-Year) Job Overview: We are looking for a Test Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in Functional Testing and Automation Testing. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and exposure to Playwright for modern automation testing. This is a 12-month contractual role, with the potential for annual renewal based on performance and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Understand business and technical requirements to design detailed test scenarios and test cases. Perform functional, regression, and system testing to ensure product quality and compliance. Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium (Java/Python) and contribute to test framework enhancements. Work on Playwright-based automation initiatives for modern web applications. Execute automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.). Collaborate with cross-functional teams — developers, business analysts, and QA engineers — to ensure high-quality deliverables. Track and report defects using JIRA or similar tools, and support root cause analysis. Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). Continuously identify opportunities for test optimization and process improvements. Required Skills & Experience: 4–6 years of professional experience in Software Testing (Manual + Automation). Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and exposure to Playwright. Proficient in test scripting using Java or Python. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.). Basic understanding of SQL and API testing. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Git version control. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Good to Have: Experience with API automation using Postman or RestAssured. Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes environments.
