We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Engineer with a strong background in developing medical Io T devices . The ideal candidate will have 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the development of medical Io T devices that are FDA 510 K cleared, HIPAA compliant, and adhere to safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards such as IEC-60601-1 and IEC-60601-2 .  The candidate should possess a broad skill set covering both hardware and software aspects, along with a deep understanding of system-level considerations, industry standards, and best practices.  Key Responsibilities:   Design, develop, and implement high performance and reliable embedded Io T systems for medical, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, HIPAA standards, and international safety standards.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software engineers, and regulatory affairs specialists to develop innovative and reliable medical devices.  Uphold high ethical standards regarding patient privacy, data security, and the potential impact on patient outcomes.  Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to embedded systems design and implementation.  Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality and reliable embedded software for medical devices.  Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, assisting in their professional development.  Qualifications:   Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.  Experience: 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development for medical Io T devices comprising of vital measurement technologies.  Experience with medical sensor technologies including calibration methods.  Understanding of task scheduling , interrupt handling , booting process , OTA and resource management in real-time environments.  Power optimization : Knowledge of techniques for optimizing power consumption.  Memory management : Knowledge of memory types and management techniques such as memory mapping, dynamic memory allocation, and memory optimization. Embedded system security : Understanding security concepts and best practices including encryption, authentication, secure boot, and secure communication protocols.  HW-SW codesign : Expertise in partitioning tasks between hardware and software, optimizing algorithms, and minimizing communication overhead.  System Integration : Ability to integrate multiple hardware and software components into a cohesive embedded system and interface with external systems or networks. This includes communication protocols, middleware, and device drivers.  Peripheral interfaces : Experience with interfaces such as I2 C, SPI, UART, USB, HDMI, I2 S, MIPI DSI, LVDS etc. Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi ) in medical device development.  Regulatory compliance : Good understanding of FDA regulations (510 K clearance process), HIPAA compliance, and other medical standards such as IEC-60601-1 and IEC-60601-2 . Experience of working with ISO 13485 or/and 21 CFR 820 defined processes.  Programming languages : Proficiency in languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems. Knowledge of Python would be beneficial.  Must have gone through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for developing and launching a new or improved embedded products. Must have gone through the complete development cycle of embedded products. Must have experience of field support. Good understanding of electronic manufacturing process would be an added advantage. A solid foundation in electrical and software engineering principles  Knowledge of biomedical signal processing algorithms and digital signal processing (DSP) techniques. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
