- Lead the design review and verification of substation layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment sizing, and protection schemes.- Review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications from EPC contractors or consultants.- Participate in tendering activities, including preparation of technical scopes, BOQs, cost estimates, and bid documents.- Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes, standards, and client requirements.- Evaluate equipment datasheets, vendor drawings, and technical submittals.- Support project managers in technical clarifications, scope finalization, and contract review.- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, design review reports, and correspondence with clients and stakeholders.- Mentor and guide junior engineers in substation design, standards, and best practices.- Provide input for project planning, cost optimization, and value engineering.- Ensure coordination between civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for seamless project execution.- Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS- -HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities.- Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.Preferred Attributes:- Experience in high-voltage and utility-scale substations (GIS/AIS of Voltage level 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, 765KV)-- Exposure to renewable energy interfacing substations (solar/wind) and Grid Substations (GIS/AIS)- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.- Strong communication and client interfacing skills.- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to design quality and compliance.
