Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Primary Skill: SmartCOMM Developer Experience: 4 to 6 Years We are seeking a skilled SmartCOMM Developer to design, develop, and implement customer communication and form solutions. You will work closely with product managers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality SmartCOMM templates, data models, and integrations—primarily supporting Personal Lines and Claims use cases in the insurance domain. We achieve this through a strong software engineering foundation and by continuously refining our processes, methodologies, tools, agile delivery teams, and core engineering archetypes. Platforms, Infra/Cloud, Application, Data, Core, and Quality Assurance. Participate in requirement calls to gather functional and technical requirements. Design and implement SmartCOMM templates, data models, and communication artefacts . Perform code/configuration changes and implement communication customizations. Execute unit testing and Pre-Prod (Sandbox) validations; support QA testing cycles. Triage and resolve defects raised by QA for Personal Lines forms and General Claims. Integrate SmartCOMM outputs with Guidewire Policy/Billing and other backend systems . Prepare technical documentation and handover notes for deployments. 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a SmartCOMM Developer . ~ Practical experience with Guidewire Policy (config/integration) and Guidewire Billing. ~ Strong understanding of the SmartCOMM communication lifecycle: template design → data model changes → testing → deployment . ~ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. ~ Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins / Azure DevOps). Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure) and experience integrating testing with CI/CD pipelines. Guidewire experience across Personal & Commercial lines.
