Sozio has succeeded in developing its creative and winning DNA and forged its position as an essential manufacturer in today's fragrance compound market."Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Officer , located in Ahmedabad. Key responsibilities include maintaining supplier relationships, managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, analyzing market trends and collaborating with R&D, quality control to support new product development and achieve financial targets, ensure timely delivery of goods, and handle any issues that arise with orders.Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers to secure high-quality, cost-effective raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to meet the company's financial goals and optimize procurement costs.Procurement Process: Manage the entire buying process, including creating and monitoring purchase orders and ensuring proper documentation.Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, forecast supply and demand, and ensure adequate stock to avoid stockouts or overstocking.Collaboration: Work closely with Production, customer sales/customer support, warehouse and logistics and Quality Control teams to understand product requirements, and address operational issues.Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and the competitive landscape to identify continuous improvement opportunities and support strategic decision-making.Data & Reporting: Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data, and prepare information for budgeting and financial forecastingSkill & QualificationsExperience in Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and Purchase Requisitions, Strong knowledge of fragrances, raw materials, manufacturing processes, and market dynamicsProven Proven ability to negotiate with vendors for optimal pricing and terms.Ability to analyze market trends, inventory data, and vendor performance to make informed purchasing decisionsStrong collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliersExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExperience : 1-3 years of procurement or buying experience, preferably within the fragrance, cosmetics, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries, manufacturing industry is a must and preferably from AhmedabadEducation: Bachelor's degree/Masters in Chemistry or related field, Supply Chain Management, or related fieldProficiency in ERP systems (like SAP) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
