Senior Backend Developer - JAVA, ETL & Microservices

Dataceria is looking for experienced  Senior Java Microservices Developers  to join a strategic modernization project for a global client. You will work on complex enterprise applications, collaborating with architects, leads, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Develop, maintain, and optimize Java 8+ backend services using Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.

Build, deploy, and maintain microservices within Kubernetes (AKS or equivalent).

Design and implement ETL pipelines using Apache Airflow, Spring Batch, or Apache Camel.

Work with  Snowflake  to create and manage pipelines, connect and deploy databases, and perform query optimisation.

Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain services in  Azure Cloud  (or adapt from AWS/GCP).

Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup , deployment automation, and version control (Git).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile scrum environments.

At least 8 -15 years of software development experience (Java)

Core  Java (Java 8+) , J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA 

Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, Spring Security, etc.)

ETL frameworks like  Apache AirFlow , Spring Batch, Apache Camel

Strong experience with SQL (MS-SQL, PostgreSQL), Snowflake, and NoSQL databases (preferably Cosmos DB)

Proven experience with Azure Cloud, Docker, and  Kubernetes (AKS)

CI/CD setup and troubleshooting ( preferably Azure DevOps)

Knowledge of  UI technologies  (React JS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3)

Financial/Banking experience

Experience with Maven, Gradle, Git

DB performance tuning and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)

Knowledge of Control-M, Dynatrace, and ServiceNow

Strong Unix commands and scripting skills

Work across microservices landscape in legacy and modernization projects.

Assigned to scrum teams within Pune , with potential for rotation between modules.

Core Stack : Java backend, Microservices, Kubernetes (AKS), Azure, Kafka, ETL (Airflow, Spring Batch, Apache Camel), Snowflake.

Snowflake Requirement : Must know how to  connect, deploy, handle DB, and write pipelines .

CI/CD : At least 5 years  with Git or similar in Agile environments.

Cloud Experience

Azure Cloud .

Acceptable: AWS/GCP if candidate can  upskill quickly  to Azure.

Pune-based team members, 3 days/week onsite.

Work involves both  legacy systems  and  modernization projects .

Collaboration with APAC/EMEA teams; calls mainly in  India evening  to overlap with USA.

High priority on  Java backend + Microservices + Cloud (Azure/Kubernetes) .

Snowflake & ETL skills are  must-haves  — no long ramp-up acceptable.

Lack of strong backend coding skills or cloud-native deployment experience.
