Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Analytics, the Analyst will primarily focus on driving business results through development and execution of world class analytics to meet evolvingbusiness needs.
The person is responsible for monitoring and interpreting clickstream and purchase funnel data to identify and take advantage of opportunities for Saks, therefore they should be familiar with KPIs important to ecommerce businesses. They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless tracking and analytics for both Saks.com and App by writing technical requirements and performing QA, and will be responsible for creating, documenting, and maintaining performance dashboards within Adobe Analytics for use acrossthe organization.
The candidateshould be familiarwith SQL to investigate trackingdefects in Snowflake, so we can work with Engineering to resolve them.
Role Description:
You are an Adobe Analytics point of contact for the organization - you will configure reports and classifications, create complex segments and calculated metrics - and will teach others to use Adobe Workspace to effectively pull insightsto make data-driven decisions.
Continuously monitor Adobe Analytics data quality and proactively troubleshoot tracking issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytics data. With your manager, partner with product and tech teams as required on defect remediation, trackingissues, and new tracking requests/analyses/reporting
Use Chrome DevTools, Tealium,and Charles to track and debug web and app, ensuring accurate and complete data collection, and collaborate with QA teams to maintain expected standards. Test and pass JIRA ticketsthrough dev, stage, and prod environments. Join weekly planningand release calls to report on progress
Monitor and troubleshoot the data pipeline that collects clickstream data, including identifying and resolving data quality issues, and ensuring data completeness and accuracy in Snowflake, as well as other systems used in the pipeline.
Analyze data using SQL, Python, R, Excel, and Adobe Analytics to answer key business questions, identify potential issuesin near real time, and support on-siteA/B testing strategies as required
Prepare executive-ready presentations summarizing findingsand recommendations, build and automatereports and dashboards to visualize and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics.
Lead as-neededtraining to the wider organization on the tools we manage,keep up-to-date with Web Analytics, Digital Measurement, and Ad tech best practices, announcements, and industryresearch.
Key Qualifications:
Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Marketing, Analytics or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
Minimum 2+ years experience workingwith web analytics packages including Adobe Analytics, and with various marketing channels to scope and implement their technical tracking requirements (pixels, URL tracking, etc) and to configure dimensions, classifications, user administration, build complex custom metrics and segments, develop advancedreports, and set up alerts
Experience in utilizing command-line statistical analysis software such as SAS or R and analytic functions such as SQL and Snowflake
Proficient with AdobeAnalytics - AdobeClassifications, admin roles,Workspace
Experience with command-line statistical analysis software(e.g. Python or R), SQL (analytic functions, subqueries, window functions, etc), Snowflake, DBT
Self Starter with proven abilityto apply findingsto business problemsto lift revenue and profits.
Experience applying marketingknowledge in marketingtechnology landscape;
Must be fully vaccinated againstCOVID-19 and, if hired, presentproof of vaccination prior to beginningemployment.
Preferred Qualifications (nice to haves):
Prior experience workingin marketing, preferably in eCommerce
Experience with a tag manager,like Tealium or Launch
Experience with analyticstracking QA, including tools like DevToolsand Charles
Proficiency with JavaScript and Jquery
Experience with ticketing systemslike JIRA
