In this role, you will be a key member of the QA team, responsible for designing, developing, and executing test automation frameworks to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products.. Test Automation:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and mobile applications (if applicable) using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, etc.
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous feedback.
Identify opportunities to improve test automation coverage and efficiency.
Non-Functional Testing :
• Experience in designing and executing tests for non-functional aspects of software, such as performance, scalability, usability, security, and reliability.
Debugging :
Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose software defects identified during manual and automated testing.
Work closely with developers to resolve bugs and ensure timely fixes.
API Testing & Automation:
Design and execute API test plans to ensure functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
Develop automated API test scripts using tools like Postman or Rest Assured
Independent Work with Ownership:
Take ownership of testing a specific feature or product area.
Manage your workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Test Analysis & Design:
Analyze requirements and user stories to identify critical test cases.
Design effective test plans and test cases covering functional and non-functional aspects of the software.
Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered in planned test cases.
Experience in various testing techniques, including functional testing, performance testing, usability testing, and security testing (a plus).
Other important Skills of an SDET 2:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, or Java Script.
Working knowledge of SQL queries (a plus).
Understanding of Agile methodologies (a plus).
