Description:Data Specialist / Lead Data Specialist role within the ISG Provider Services team is expected to work on various data management tasks. The Analyst is expected to collaborate with multiple teams within the larger team and help manage different internal databases working on cleaning, storing, and retrieving data.The candidate is expected to have some exposure to ITO or BPO industry, exceptional organizational skills, English writing and speaking skills, strong data analysis and analytical skills. It would be a great add on if the candidate has some experience in performing secondary research. Responsibilities:Execute customized data runs from ISG’s proprietary databases to address specific internal & external client requirementsCollaborate with other relevant teams to work on streamlining the data collection and management processesWork on building a referable database using a standard template. Develop the understanding and execute the data collection around ITO/BPO sourcing contracts.Thoroughly understand the underlying data, business implications, and usage of data for research and consulting deliverablesAssist and develop excel models and frameworks for efficient data operationsCollaborate with other teams and work on data assessments and database management tasksAbility and desire to meet deadlines and deliver results with minimum supervisionTime management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines Technical Skills Required:4 to 6 years of experience with a focus on data analysis and research preferably in the IT and BPO industryComfortable with analyzing large data setsAdvanced MS Excel skills including but not limited to pivots, power pivot, power query, dashboards, and advanced Excel formulas is a mustUnderstanding of a disciplined approach towards Data Visualization and Reporting with Excel, Power Query and Power BI is a must. Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop. VBA and Python skills are an added advantage.Hands-on web data scraping experience by using any web scraping tools/ Python Environment is preferredCritical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data.Can undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.Contribute to the data collection and enhance respective data assets.Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processesAbility to extract meaningful information and formulate a point of view based on extracted data, analyzing available data and filling gaps using appropriate statistical methodsOutstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsSupporting initiatives for data integrity and normalizationExcellent written and verbal skillsSkilled at working both independently and in a team environmentThe ability to work a flexible schedule, collaborating with both US and European regions At ISG, we don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our clients, and our communities.
