Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager – Civil Structural Design to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing civil structures for commercial buildings, as well as involvement in government projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in structural design, project management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities : Lead the civil and structural design efforts for commercial building projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering teams to develop innovative design solutions for high-rise, office, and commercial complexes. Prepare and review structural design drawings, calculations, and specifications for steel, concrete, and composite structures. Manage design processes for government projects, ensuring adherence to government norms, tender specifications, and quality standards. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress of construction and ensure design integrity. Perform structural analysis and simulation using advanced software tools (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, Auto CAD). Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to secure approvals and certifications for ongoing projects. Mentor and lead a team of junior engineers and draftsmen, providing guidance in structural design principles and best practices. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during the design and construction phases. Qualifications : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. 10+ years of experience in civil and structural design, particularly in commercial buildings. Proven experience in handling government projects, including tendering, documentation, and execution phases. Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, and Auto CAD. Strong knowledge of Indian and international building codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and leadership skills to manage internal teams and coordinate with external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
