About the Role
CTA Apparels is seeking a dynamic and experienced PD Merchandiser/Assistant PD Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling premium buyers such as H&M, Zara, American Eagle, El Corte Inglés , and others. This role demands a keen understanding of the product development lifecycle, including fabric sourcing, sampling, cost negotiations, and order execution. Candidates available to join immediately will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Buyer Management :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international buyers like H&M, Zara, American Eagle, El Corte Ingles and other premium brands.
- Coordinate with buyers on seasonal product development, order placements, and approvals.
- Product Development :
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, including fabric selection, sampling, and final approvals.
- Work closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure product excellence.
- Costing and Negotiation :
- Prepare cost breakdowns and handle price negotiations with buyers to align with budget and profitability targets.
- Quality Assurance :
- Ensure that all products meet buyer specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Cross-Functional Coordination :
- Collaborate with in-house design, sampling, and production teams to manage timelines effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during sampling or production stages.
- Reporting :
- Maintain detailed records of buyer communications, product specifications, and shipment schedules.
- Provide weekly updates to senior management on order progress and challenges.
Required Skills and Experience
- Industry Expertise : 2–5 years of experience in the garment manufacturing and export industry.
- Buyer Knowledge : Proven track record of managing buyers such as H&M, Zara, American Eagle, and El Corte Inglés.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in VisualGEMS ERP or similar systems, understanding of garment construction, and quality standards.
- Soft Skills : Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Project Management : Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
