Role Description
As an Industrial Designer, you will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing a wide range of interior decor products, including 3D-printed furniture and wall panels. You will collaborate closely with our product development, engineering, and marketing teams to create high-quality, functional, and visually striking designs that align with our brand’s vision and customer needs. Your work will contribute to the ongoing innovation of our product offerings and ensure that each design meets both aesthetic and functional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Creation & Development: Conceptualize, sketch, and prototype innovative interior decor products, with a focus on 3D-printed furniture and wall panels.
3D Modeling & CAD: Utilize CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Blender) to develop detailed 3D models of furniture and wall panel designs, ensuring they are ready for 3D printing and manufacturing.
Material & Manufacturing Research: Research and select suitable materials for 3D printing and traditional manufacturing processes, ensuring the final product is durable, sustainable, and cost-effective.
Prototyping & Testing: Develop prototypes of designs, test for functionality, durability, and aesthetics, and refine the designs based on feedback.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet quality standards. Collaborate with marketing to ensure design concepts are aligned with brand identity.
Trend Research & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with design trends, new technologies in 3D printing, and advancements in sustainable materials to ensure that our products are innovative and market-leading.
Presentation & Client Interaction: Present design concepts to internal stakeholders and, where applicable, to clients. Incorporate feedback and refine designs accordingly.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
2. 1+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in interior decor, furniture design, or related fields.
3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, Blender).
Experience with 3D printing technologies and knowledge of different materials used in 3D printing.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including prototyping and materials selection.
5. Creative thinking with a passion for innovation in design.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to solve complex design challenges.
8. Portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in 3D-printed products and furniture.
