Job Description – IICS Developer (Hybrid at either Bengaluru / Chennai )
Own the technical support team from triage, response, team coordination, and escalation in relation to application integrations, data hub / data warehousing, and ELT/ETL processes
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings using IICS for data integration, data migration, and data warehousing projects.
Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimize and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and processing.
Perform data profiling, data quality checks, and data cleansing to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
Monitor and manage scheduled jobs, ensuring timely data availability across systems.
Integrate data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) into target systems, including data warehouses and data lakes.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including ETL design specifications, data flow diagrams, and process workflows.
Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices and coding standards.
Implement data security and governance measures to protect sensitive information.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ETL technologies, data integration trends, and IICS updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in ETL development, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, My SQL, Postgre SQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud data integration.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for data manipulation and automation.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data governance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Relevant certifications in Informatica or cloud platforms are a plus.
