About the Role
We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Copyeditor/Coordinator to join our team. This role combines the art of editing with the skill of coordination to ensure the delivery of high-quality, engaging, and impactful content. You will lead the editorial process, oversee content workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align our content strategy with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Content Editing & Quality Control
Edit and proofread articles, blogs, and other content for grammar, tone, and style.
Maintain consistency with brand voice and editorial guidelines.
Perform fact-checking and ensure content accuracy.
Team Coordination
Manage and oversee the content production workflow, ensuring timely submissions and deliverables.
Serve as the primary point of contact for freelancers, writers, and editors.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure smooth communication across teams.
Editorial Strategy
Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to meet deadlines and campaign goals.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to align content with strategic objectives.
Suggest improvements to content strategies and implement editorial best practices.
Mentorship and Leadership
Provide guidance and constructive feedback to freelancers, junior editors, and writers.
Lead training sessions to improve team skills and efficiency.
Foster a positive and collaborative editorial team culture.
Process Optimization
Identify inefficiencies in the content production process and propose solutions.
Use editorial tools and software to enhance workflow and productivity.
Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of published content.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in editing or a similar role.
Exceptional command of English and keen attention to detail.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and familiarity with SEO principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
