PL/pg SQL Developer JD
Identify and analyze user requirements and then propose the Design, development and implementation approach for Sybase to Postgres application migration. Develop PL/pg SQL solutions based on best practices of data warehouse solution architecture. Debug fault/performance issue related code and propose solutions. Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the development sprints. Write well-designed, efficient, secure code. Review, test and debug team members code. Document development phases.
Requirements:
4-7 years of database development experience
Proven hands-on Software Development experience using Postgres PL/pg SQL
Hands on experience in designing and developing database solutions using Postgres PL/pg SQL
Good knowledge on logical and physical data modeling
Good knowledge of query tuning & optimization
Working experience in development of ETL process, DB Design and Data Structures
Effectively made use of Table Partitioning, Collections, Analytical functions, Bulk Collections, Context, Exception handling
Working experience in US Healthcare/Medicaid domain
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
