To strengthen our Finance & Administration function, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in the education sector, specifically universities.Position OverviewThe Chartered Accountant – Finance & Administration will oversee the university’s financial management, compliance, and financial administrative processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, strategic financial planning ability, and hands-on experience in managing finance operations within a university ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & ComplianceOversee end-to-end financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, university grants, and auditing requirements.Manage timely preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and MIS reports.Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and statutory bodies.Administration & Process OversightStreamline financial policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with university operations.Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to ensure proper fund utilization.Support decision-making by providing financial insights to senior leadership.Handle vendor management, payroll coordination, and procurement processes in compliance with policy.Strategic & Advisory RoleAdvise university leadership on financial planning, resource optimization, and cost-efficiency.Contribute to long-term financial sustainability and growth planning of the institution.Provide financial support for new initiatives, infrastructure projects, and academic expansions.Candidate ProfileQualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.Experience: Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience , with at least 5 years in a university or higher education institution .Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliances.Proficiency in ERP/financial software, Tally, and MS Office / Adv MS Excel,Core Competencies:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to align financial processes with academic and administrative requirements.
