We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our clients renewable energy team. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components for renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy technologies such as wind or solar.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for renewable energy projects, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to assess the viability of renewable energy projects and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, civil engineers, and project managers, to ensure integrated design and implementation of renewable energy systems.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize the performance and efficiency of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in renewable energy and mechanical engineering, and apply them to project design and development.
  • Participate in field inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure the successful implementation of renewable energy projects.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software for 3D modeling and drafting.
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis tools and software for simulation and optimization.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to sustainability and renewable energy principles.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license is a plus.
