We are looking for a passionate  Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee operations at Chirp, in-room dining services, and assist with event and catering services, while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Job Overview:

The  Assistant Restaurant Manager will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Chirp, in-room dining, and event support at Bloom. This role involves managing teams, enhancing guest experiences, and achieving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager and Event teams to maintain service standards, foster team development, and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities: Chirp & In-Room Dining Operations:
  • Daily Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient service at Chirp and seamless handling of in-room dining requests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor service staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and high service standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly, fostering personalized service and a welcoming environment.
  • Menu Expertise: Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about menu offerings, including daily specials, and can confidently assist guests.
  • Inventory Management: Support stock monitoring, ordering supplies, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for Chirp and in-room dining.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and order in dining areas.
Event Assistance – Bloom & Outdoor Catering:
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Event Manager to execute events at Bloom, including setup, guest interaction, and service delivery.
  • Catering Logistics: Plan and oversee staffing, logistics, and client requirements for outdoor catering services to ensure flawless execution.
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure timely deliveries of materials and food for events and catering services.
  • Onsite Supervision: Lead and manage service staff during events and catering functions, ensuring alignment with event plans and quality standards.
  • Client Feedback: Gather client feedback post-events to identify successes and improvement opportunities, enhancing future experiences.
Staff Training & Development:
  • Training Programs: Assist in creating and implementing training programs to ensure consistent and exceptional service quality across teams.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor for Chirp, in-room dining, and event service teams, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Performance Reviews: Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
Operational Efficiency & Reporting:
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in managing budgets, optimizing costs, and driving profitability for Chirp, in-room dining, and event operations.
  • Daily Reports: Prepare and present daily operational reports, including guest feedback, sales, and inventory updates, to the management team.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for operational efficiency and guest satisfaction improvements, introducing innovative solutions as needed.
Guest Relations & Cross-Promotion:
  • Guest Engagement: Build guest relationships, promote repeat visits, and encourage utilization of Centro’s diverse offerings.
  • Cross-Selling: Actively promote events, catering services, and in-room dining offers to enhance revenue and guest experiences.
  • Customer Loyalty: Implement strategies to improve customer retention, fostering repeat visits and loyalty through personalized service.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in hospitality, preferably in restaurant management or event coordination.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage teams and handle multiple operations simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure during high-demand periods such as events or busy dining hours.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events and operations.
