1Role:Windows Azure Admin

2 Required Technical Skill Set:

Azure Virtual Network, VNet Peering, P2S\S2S VPN , User Defined Routes, Azure Load Balancer, enable NAT rules, Azure Backup Recovery, Load balancer, Azure AD, Azure Log Analytics, Windows VM, Windows PowerShell Scripting knowledge



Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

  • Knowledge of Power Shell Scripting in deploying Infrastructure.
  • Deploying and Configuring Virtual Networks
  • Orchestrating Routing Paths, especially in a Hybrid Cloud.
  • Managing Public and Private IP addresses for Windows VMs and selected other Azure resources.
  • Use Log Analytics to write a simple query
  • Understand the schema of the data in Log Analytics
  • Filter, sort, and group results
  • Apply a time range
  • Deploying Windows VMs into Virtual Networks.
  • Configuring Windows VM for Optimum Cost, Performance, and Security.
  • Backing up Windows VMs and potentially providing Fail-over Recovery.
  • Working knowledge on Azure Active Directory
  • Working knowledge on Blob Storage.

  • Azure Certifications (AZ-104 )

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role


Building Infrastructure on Azure Cloud which involves configuring\managing Compute and Storage services..

Create\Manage Windows Virtual Machines in Availability Set and load balancing the traffic between the VMs in AV set

Creating\Managing Windows Virtual Machines Scale Set with more granular auto-scaling rules

Manage Azure Disk Encryption using Bit locker in Windows and DM-Crypt in Linux OS.

Closely worked on both Windows Compute (VMs) and Storage Performance.

Guide customers regarding usage and performance on Storage and IOPS.

Manage Azure Storage using different platforms (Storage Explorer, AZ copy, PowerShell, CLI etc.)
