Role: Senior Systems Administrator - Redhat Enterprise LinuxExperience: 8-12 yearsLocation: Pune, ChennaiPreferred Skills:Redhat Linux- RHEL 7.x, 8.xRedhat Satellite - 6.xRed Hat Ansible - Ansible Tower 3.xScripting - Bash and PythonSecurity: Familiarity with security policies, best practices and hardening.Authentication: SSSD and NISRequired Skills:- Comprehensive knowledge of RHEL system administration, including installation, configuration, and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.- Deep understanding of Red Hat Satellite Administration, including the configuration and management of patch management, software repositories, and provisioning.- Strong technical skills in Ansible Administration, including deployment, automation of tasks, writing playbooks, and managing inventories.- Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.- Strong knowledge of security compliance,and implementing best practices to protect against security threats and vulnerabilities.- Closely work with business teams to understand the requirements and provide support as needed and ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Awareness of ITIL concept Good Communication learning and documentation skills.- Good understanding of Service Now ticketing tool.- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Flexible to work evening/night hours and weekends long term if required.- Experience with virtualized environments (VMWare) is preferred.- RHCSA and/or RHCSE are preferred.Roles and Responsibilities:- RHEL System Administration: Lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.- Red Hat Satellite Administration: Design and implement Red Hat Satellite systems, including patch management, software repositories, and provisioning, to ensure efficient and effective systems management.- Ansible Administration: Strong knowledge in Ansible Administration, automating system administration tasks, writing playbooks, and managing inventories to streamline systems management processes.- Security Compliance: Oversee security compliance measures, including security audits and best practices, to ensure the security of all systems and infrastructure.- Technical Implementation: Lead technical implementation projects, including new systems and upgrades, working closely with the internal teams and following project management best practices.- Troubleshooting: Utilize deep technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and effective manner, utilizing strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.- Technical Support: Provide technical support to internal users, including system administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.- Work independently and as part of a team, utilizing strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, to achieve common goals and objectives, and meeting SLAs for team collaboration and project completion times.- Develop and maintain technical solution documents (TSD) and standard operating procedures(SOP).
