Job Description

CBS Inc is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CMMC compliance, including scoping, implementation, and interfacing with external auditors. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our organization's adherence to CMMC standards, thereby securing our position in government contracting.


Responsibilities:

Scoping and Implementation: Identify the boundary and scope of the CMMC compliance program. Develop and implement a comprehensive CMMC compliance strategy tailored to the organization’s needs.


Mapping NIST Controls: Map NIST SP 800-171 controls to the identified scope, ensuring all aspects of CMMC requirements are covered.


GAP Assessment: Conduct thorough GAP assessments to identify areas requiring remediation. Provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.

Remediation Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of remediation plans, ensuring timely and effective resolution of identified gaps.


Reporting: Generate detailed compliance status reports for internal stakeholders and executive management. Maintain documentation for CMMC-related activities.

Interfacing with External Auditors: Act as the primary point of contact for third-party assessors and auditors. Facilitate assessments and ensure all auditor requests are met promptly and accurately.


Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with changes in CMMC requirements and cybersecurity best practices. Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance the organization's security posture.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in cybersecurity compliance, with specific experience in CMMC and NIST frameworks.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent. CMMC certification is highly desirable.


Skills:

Strong understanding of CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and related frameworks.

Experience with cybersecurity audits and assessments.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
