About the job

We are looking for a Cloud Network Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of AWS services, strong networking skills, and the ability to design, code, and implement secure and scalable cloud solutions. The ideal candidate would have a mix of technical expertise in AWS, networking, security, and infrastructure automation, along with the necessary soft skills to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to complex projects.

Responsibilities

Following are the day-to-day work activities:

  • Contribute to network architecture and solution footprint in Infrastructure and Platform streams for both on-premises and AWS cloud-based migration projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect cloud-based solutions, and provide technical guidance and best practices.
  • Manage IP addressing, subnets, CIDR notation, DNS, VPN, direct connect, Network ACLs, security groups, firewalls, and Routing protocols.
  • Implement automation and orchestration techniques to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards across all cloud environments.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AWS services, features, and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills to get the eligibility of their profile assessed. The must have requirements are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Network Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services including Control Tower, Landing Zone, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB/ALB, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, AWS Managed Identity etc.
  • Practical experience with deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS network infrastructure.
  • Familiar with tools like Splunk and AWS services – Cloud Trail, Cloud Watch etc.
  • Strong knowledge on IP addressing, subnets, CIDR notation, DNS, VPN, Direct Connect, Network ACLs, Security Groups, firewalls, Routing Protocols.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking) are a plus.
