Position Summary:

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and analyzing pricing strategies to support organizational profitability and competitiveness. The ideal candidate will leverage financial expertise, market insights, and data analytics to evaluate pricing models, monitor industry trends, and recommend optimal pricing strategies. This role requires a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing strategies on profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing to develop data-driven pricing recommendations.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to establish pricing models for products or services.
  • Monitor and evaluate pricing performance to ensure alignment with revenue and profitability goals.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of pricing tools and financial models.
  • Support the implementation of pricing policies and strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Perform scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of pricing changes.
  • Prepare and present detailed pricing reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and pricing governance standards.
  • Provide support in customer or supplier negotiations by offering pricing insights and financial impact assessments.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements:


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, financial modeling, and cost analysis.
  • Experience in finance consoles, pricing tools, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.

Language Ability:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial concepts effectively.

Math Ability:

  • Advanced numerical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to develop data-driven pricing solutions.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with pricing software, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and financial consoles.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or FP&A) are a plus but not mandatory.

Travel:

Minimal travel may be required for meetings or training (up to 10%).
