Job Description
Designation: Senior Software Engineer
Office Location: Solitaire BH 8th Floor Pune
Position description: The role is for medium to high level technical and domain expertise required for product development in security and networking domain.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Good understanding of the product architecture, design. (Requires - Good understanding of Operating systems concepts like process, thread, synchronization, file handling, memory management (Linux or Windows)
- Should be capable of identifying enhancements (if needed) and can execute the same. Should be able to code with complex data structures. Should be able to use various design patterns to produce reusable
- Should have good understanding of the product, technology, domain. Should take proactive part in technical discussion related to product queries, bug discussions, feature enhancement discussions.
- Should help juniors in solving critical bugs. Should do code reviews of juniors & peers. (Requires - Good analytical, programming skill, behavioral aspect)
- Should suggest enhancements, new feature ideas in product. Should do PoC for the same. (Requires - Innovation, Excellence)
- Should correctly predict work timelines, meet the timelines. Should produce quality deliverables. (Requires - Integrity, Trust, Excellence)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Should be capable of mentoring juniors.
Educational qualifications preferred
- Category: Bachelor's Degree, master's degree
- Field specialization: Computer Science
Required Competencies:
Languages - C/C++/Java/Angular, Domain - Networking, Security, Cloud
Required Knowledge:
- 4+ years' experience in software product development in networking or security domain
- Excellent networking/security domain knowledge. Excellent Linux/Windows/MAC OS knowledge
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Certifications in (Network switching/routing - Cisco certification) Or (AWS) will be an additional advantage.
