Windows & Vmware administratorExp- 6 to 10 yearsLocation- Chennai/KolkataRequired Technical Skill SetWindows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, SCCM, Powershell, Active Directory.Desired CompetenciesProvide VMware support including incident and work requests within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMWare ESX environmentsConfigure and optimize the virtual infrastructureWorking with change tools to maintain client SLAsMonitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirementsProvide security compliance under relevant security policiesLiaise on virtualization configuration with the storage systems manager and system administratorsProvide support and advice to projects requiring IT platforms support;Proactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurringWindows:In depth knowledge in Windows Server 2012 , 2012R2 , 2016 and 2019.Perform Inplace upgrade for the ServersManage & Maintain Microsoft Hyper-V infrastructureManage & Maintain VMware infrastructureIn depth knowledge in Clustering, DNS, DHCP, GPO and file servicesResponsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by coordinating with Data Center engineers.Identify issues in the Windows environment proactively.Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in WindowsHealth check of Windows environmentResponsible for managing AntivirusResponsible for applying security patches to windows servers using WSUS & SCCM toolsResponsible for building & hardening windows serversAnalyze server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidentsManage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS sharesVMware:Install, configure and maintain VMware ESXi & vCenter servers of version 7.0 and later versionsTroubleshooting and RCA of Windows and VMware infrastructure.Performance analysis and tuning of available infrastructure.Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machinesExperience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.Good hands on the command line of ESX.Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.Good understanding of HA and DRS environments.Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers' resources between virtual machines.Vulnerability Management and mitigationVCenter and ESXI host upgradeBIOS and Firmware upgrade for the ESXI hardwareWork with onsite\hands and feet support counterpart for any replacement on hardwareGood-to-HaveSCCM : Infrastructure Knowledge about SCCMScripting Knowledge : Powershell Scripts, Vbscripts,Batch Script understandingVMware: Knowledge on SRM configuration, VRopsOthers: Nutanix and Cloud platform understanding.
