HikeOn Technologies Private Limited | Scrum Master | bangalore

We are seeking a skilled Scrum Master to support our technology team, which includes architects, Business Analysts, developers, lead developers, QA, and project managers. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating Agile ceremonies, promoting effective communication and collaboration, and ensuring the team adheres to Agile best practices. This Scrum Master will also coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Content, Graphics, and Data teams, when their input is essential for project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Scrum Ceremonies
- Plan, organize, and facilitate all Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of accountability, openness, and respect among team members to foster high-quality collaboration.
- Ensure the team maintains a clear, prioritized backlog that aligns with project goals and business needs.
Team Support & Coaching
- Act as a servant-leader for the team, providing guidance on Agile best practices to improve team performance, productivity, and effectiveness.
- Coach team members (architects, developers, lead developers, QA, project managers) on Agile principles, including collaboration, self-organization, and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
Project Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with architects acting as business analysts to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with lead developers and project managers to align technical and project management efforts and maintain consistent, open communication.
- Provide timely project status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency around progress, risks, and impediments.
- Ensure all team members (developers, QA, etc.) log their hours against tasks and maintain their focus on sprint goals.
Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
- Identify cross-functional teams (Accounting, Content, Graphics, Data) when their involvement is critical to project requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the tech team and cross-functional teams, facilitating effective communication and smooth project integration.
- Schedule and lead joint meetings when necessary to synchronize project requirements, share updates, and address cross-functional dependencies.
Continuous Improvement & Metrics Tracking
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing team metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) and encouraging open dialogue during retrospectives.
- Implement strategies to enhance sprint outcomes and improve team velocity without compromising quality.
- Collect and report on key Agile metrics, generating insights that inform decision-making and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Problem Solving & Impediment Removal
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments affecting team productivity and project timelines.
- Work closely with project managers to identify blockers and coordinate solutions within and across teams.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with a proven track record working with technical teams (including architects, developers, and QA).
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is required.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with hands-on experience implementing and refining Agile processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills to work effectively across technical and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana) and Agile metrics.
