Niles is looking for an experienced MS Access Designer to maintain and optimize Microsoft Access databases that support critical business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in database design, data modeling, and user interface creation, while also assisting with migration strategies to transition from Access to modern systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design and maintain MS Access databases, including tables, queries, forms, and reports.- Create intuitive user interfaces and workflows for data entry and reporting.- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.- Integrate Access databases with other systems (Fabric, Power BI.).- Assist with planning and executing migration from MS Access to new platforms (e.g., ERP system).- Document database structures, processes, and user guides.- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.Required Qualifications- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).- 2+ years of experience in MS Access design and database management.- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.Technical Skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Access (including advanced queries, forms, and reports).- Strong knowledge of relational database design and normalization.- Experience with VBA programming for automation and custom functionality.- Ability to integrate Access with Power BI and other data sources.
