Associate Data Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Data Engineering and BI Support Associate with expertise in Data Warehouse / Big Data , Azure platform , SAP Data Services, SAP Business Objects to join our technical support team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of data pipelines, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our data integration processes. You will collaborate with senior data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve data-related challenges and ensure high data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for SAP Data Services and Azure-based data pipelines , ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Monitor data pipelines and ETL jobs for failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies, and proactively address any issues. Collaborate with senior data engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data integration and transformation problems. Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of data workflows in SAP Data Services and Azure environments. Report Development and Optimization : Assist in creating, updating, and optimizing reports and dashboards using tools like Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Dashboards (formerly Xcelsius). Performance Monitoring and Tuning : Monitor the performance of the Business Objects environment, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to improve response time and efficiency. Security Management : Manage user access and permissions within the SAP Business Objects platform to ensure compliance with company policies and security standards. Handle support tickets related to data pipeline failures, data quality issues, and system outages, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and assist in testing new data pipelines and solutions. Document support procedures and create troubleshooting guides for common data engineering issues. Participate in data quality audits, ensuring compliance with data governance and integrity standards.
Help maintain data security and privacy compliance in alignment with organizational and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in SAP Data services supporting data engineering or data integration projects
- Working knowledge of Azure platform , including:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Strong understanding of ETL processes , data integration, and data transformation best practices.
- Experience in troubleshooting ETL workflows , identifying issues, and providing timely resolutions.
- Knowledge of SAP Business Objects tools (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Analysis for Office, and Dashboards).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and debugging data issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
