Our avatars and environments are a key part of our immersive gaming experience, and we are looking for a talented 3D Artist to bring them to life.
Role Overview: As a 3D Artist at BattleBucks, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models, textures, and assets for our games. Whether crafting cartoonish avatars, realistic props, or stylized environments, your work will be essential in shaping the visual identity of our platform.
Key Responsibilities: 3D Modeling :
Create optimized, clean polygonal models for characters, props, and environments.
Develop assets compatible with PBR workflows and real-time rendering engines.
Texturing & Shading :
Apply detailed textures and shaders using tools like Substance Painter, Photoshop, or equivalent.
Create UV maps, procedural textures, and advanced materials.
Collaboration :
Work closely with game designers, animators, and developers to ensure seamless integration of assets.
Adapt assets to fit various game requirements and technical constraints.
Rigging & Animation (Preferred but not mandatory):
Assist in rigging models for animation where necessary.
Collaborate with animators to ensure characters and assets move naturally.
Quality Control :
Review and refine assets to meet artistic and technical standards.
Optimize models for performance in Unity or other real-time engines.
Research & Problem Solving :
Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques to bring innovation to projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production.
Requirements: Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard tools: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, or Cinema 4D.
Experience with texture tools: Substance Painter, Photoshop, or Mari.
Knowledge of rendering engines: Arnold, V-Ray, Unity, or Unreal Engine.
Familiarity with PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) workflows.
Strong understanding of polygonal modeling and UV mapping.
Portfolio & Artistic Skills: A portfolio showcasing diverse 3D work (characters, props, environments).
Proven ability to create assets in various styles: realistic, cartoonish, and stylized.
Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a creative approach to asset design.
Experience & Industry Knowledge: Minimum .... years of experience in 3D art production (gaming preferred).
Understanding of production pipelines and collaborative workflows.
Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with rigging and animation.
Background in character design or environment art.
Knowledge of mobile game optimization techniques.
