Overview: Borneo is seeking an experienced Sr. DevOps Engineer to drive innovation and contribute to our mission of transforming data security and privacy. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in the development, deployment, and reliability of our security platform. You will work closely with our engineering teams to enhance system performance, automate operations, and ensure the continuous availability and security of our services. Responsibilities: Design, implementation, and optimization of Borneo's SRE and DevOps practices, setting high technical standards and guiding the team in their execution. Develop, and implement state-of-the-art security solutions and products to discover and protect sensitive data and privacy on public and private clouds. Design and implement infrastructure to handle 16–20 petabytes of data at the moment and scale to 100–500 petabytes. Our services/products run on some of the biggest data footprints in the world. Understand product requirements and provide engineering RFC’s, technical architecture and design documents. Address challenges such as petabytes of low latency data processing and decision making, cloud native deployment, cost optimization techniques, real-time observability, protection of sensitive data and privacy, etc. Establish best practices for monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering, ensuring systems are available, performant, and resilient. Drive the utilization of cloud-native solutions and technologies to enhance agility and scalability. Required Experience: Proven track record of driving SRE and DevOps initiatives, with experience (6+ years) in a senior technical role. Proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, IAM, API Gateway. Strong experience in one of the programming languages: Golang or Python. Expertise in deployment of multi-cloud distributed SaaS in public or private clouds. (eg. AWS, Azure, GCP). In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g. Spinnaker, Github) Strong background in automation tools, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g. Terraform, Helm). Extensive expertise in architecting, implementing, and monitoring of scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions. Preferred Experience: Experience in a product startup is highly preferred. Experience in cloud security, security engineering, network security in SaaS. Preferred experience in Temporal for workflow management and orchestration.
