Mahatma Gandhi Netralaya, operational since 2017, focuses on providing accessible and affordable eye care services to communities in need. We perform over 1,000 cataract surgeries annually and aim to expand our reach and impact.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of quality eye care services in a rural setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop professional expertise while positively impacting community health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of Mahatma Gandhi Netralaya.
• Conduct outpatient consultations and provide comprehensive eye care.
• Perform cataract and other ophthalmic surgeries with a focus on quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to deliver holistic patient care.
• Lead and participate in rural eye care outreach programs.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and eye health practices.
• Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of hospital equipment and facilities.
• Develop a growth strategy for the hospital in consultation with the Managing Committee.

Qualifications:

• MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology.
• Valid medical license to practice in India.
• Strong interest in gaining practical experience in cataract surgeries.
• Willingness to work in a rural healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience:

• Participation in rural health or eye care outreach programs is an advantage but not mandatory.

Compensation:

Competitive salary of ₹1.5 lakhs per month.
