Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Data Specialist with 4-8 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in programming, database management, and data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing efficient data solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to drive feature development and solve complex challenges.



Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and manage robust data workflows and pipelines to support various business needs.
  • Work on transforming large volumes of data from diverse sources while ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Create and optimize data queries for improved system performance and usability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and design tailored data solutions.
  • Develop data structures and frameworks to facilitate reporting and analytical processes.
  • Utilize programming expertise to address advanced data challenges and deliver actionable insights.
  • Manage and interact with data using relational database systems and other tools.

Relational Databases

  • Expertise Includes: Writing optimized queries, database management, and utilizing ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy).
  • Database Exposure: Proficiency with systems like PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, etc.


Software Development Practices

  • Level: Intermediate
  • Key Concepts: Proficient in functional and object-oriented programming paradigms.


Problem-Solving and Innovation

  • Focus Areas: Designing solutions for advanced features and addressing engineering challenges.


Cloud Technologies

  • Experience Includes: Utilizing AWS cloud-based tools and services for data workflows, such as Athena and batch processing in cloud environments.



Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering scalable data solutions.
